1st Round played to: "Harper Valley PTA"

CIPS once had a Superintendent with a very "Public" Face that was Brilliant, Calm in the Face of the "Very Vocal Moronic Minority", Dedicated 200% to her Students who knew and loved her (some will say to the detriment of her own health & family), Friendly, Highly Educated in her Profession, Personable, Prudent Fiscally (there's now a 12% "Rainy Day Fund", which is significantly larger than the Citys!) who wisely decided to take her very well deserved "Retirement" and just let "Calgon, take her away" Farrr Awaay from Covington and it's "VVMM"... Which Cheered, Rejoiced and Vowed to get a "Better One" (As if...)

 

Then we had a very contentious School Board Election where the "VVMM" huffed, puffed, recruited, selected and funded Candidates. All the while the very Un-Public Adminstrator behind the Iron Mask with the Iron Fist that held the leashes of the choke-collared Staff waited for the outcome, so invested in which a campaign contribution was even attempted! This is not to imply that the Iron Fist is an evil villian, it's equally committed to the District and its Students. Happily, the right Candidates were voted in and the search for a new  Superintendent commenced. Although the "VVMM" had been crushed, a new Super was selected and they rejoiced and exclaimed "Thankfully, he's African American!"

 

Currently we're engaged in the 1st Major PR Scandal under this New Superintendent's Administration. A Junior female student and band members Parent, substitute teacher, part-time barmaid and locally well know B-Horror Movie Director and Actress has called into question portions of texting between her daughter (who doesn't share her Mom's current married name which the Mrs doesn't use on her public FB & Fan pages) and the HHS Band Director. By many accounts, Jared Murray (like the old superintendent) has the same dedication to his students and was only responding with care and concern to young Miss Lack's tales of woe.

 

I know Shana Donskey personally, like her very much and am sorry for what she is going through. REALLY! I didn't think much about it when my good friend, Covington Human Rights Commissioner, Pam Mullins told me that her granddaughter, Ariel (who's also in the band and at HHS) related to her that it was a Jr with the same name as her but spelled different and the last name "Lack". I almost choked on my coffee when I later connected all the dots.
