"Your Pants Are on FIRE!"

Mr. Connett, as you know Kentucky Equality Federation is an assumed name for several corporations similar to the ACLU. You have something negative to say about just about everything and everyone and I have no time for this. You will receive a letter from our legal representation, Jill Hall Rose, (www.jillhallrose.com) regarding your Confidentiality Agreement. You have so many email addresses that I cannot keep-up with them all. As one of our Regional Directors told you, copying outsiders on internal emails in a breach of that contract. I should have listened to the people you have copied on this email and never appointed you; you are reckless and you would be best advised to walk away and leave it at that; you have a Living Trust? No, you do not, that is a lie, and there is no money there for anyone.
You will immediately cease and disseat all usage of our logos; they are trademarked and assumed names on file with our articles of incorporation with the Kentucky Department of State as a non-profit. Also, why in the world would a non-profit be listed with the BBB when we do not hold fundraisers or actively seek donations? Usage of our logo’s was also included in the contracts you signed with us; however, I suspect you have just shown your “true colors” to everyone you have copied on this email and do not doubt for a moment that they do not see right through it.
Kentucky Equality Federation is far too busy with the situation in Covington and Harlan for this type of adolescent behavior.
Also, for the record, anyone who wants to see our IRS Tax ID numbers as well as the CPA who files then, please email me or send it to treasurer@kyequality.org or contact Richard T. Jones, Chairman of the Board.
Our previous and continued work in Northern Kentucky speaks for itself; we are also in the middle of an argument with the City of Covington for terminating several gay men:

Gay Attack at NKU:
I am severely disappointed in you Mr. Connett; you had an argument with a Regional Director and begin slandering an entire organization. However, I have more important matter to attend to: http://community.kyequality.org/2011/09/special-operating-region-created-in.html

Have been checking out KEF & although they have a registration with Ky Secretary of State in good standing, neither the IRS or BBB has any records for them! Just like AVNK....

  • What does it mean that the charity I'm looking for isn't listed on your site?
It simply means that our program team hasn't been able to analyze them yet. Despite the fact that we evaluate, for free, ten times more organizations than anyone else in America has ever attempted, many deserving (and not deserving) ones exist that we haven't gotten to yet. You may know that there are now approximately 1 million charities in this country. We evaluate a lot of them, but there are many still to do.

Subject: Charity Inquiry
Dear BBB Wise Giving Alliance Inquirer:
Thank you for contacting the BBB Wise Giving Alliance. We appreciate and encourage your interest about making informed giving decisions and hope the following is of assistance.
IF YOU ARE ASKING ABOUT A NATIONAL CHARITY:
If we have a report on the national charity (i.e., a charity that solicits nationally), it will be listed on our website - please click the link to view the complete National Charity Reports list http://charityreports.bbb.org/public/All.aspx?bureauID=9999.
If the organization does not appear on this list it may be that due to lack of inquiries the BBB Wise Giving Alliance has not developed information on this organization. Please note that your inquiry will be logged and if we develop a report in the future, a copy will be e-mailed to you.
IF YOU ARE ASKING ABOUT A LOCAL CHARITY:
If the charity is local in scope (i.e., a charity that restricts its appeals to your community or state), you can contact the Better Business Bureau located closest to the charity to determine if they have any information - you can find the closest BBB at this link: http://lookup.bbb.org/.
IF YOU ARE SEEKING TO CONTACT A GOVERNMENT AGENCY THAT REGULATES CHARITIES:
If, for any reason, you would like to contact the state government office (usually a division of the state attorney general or secretary of state) that regulates charitable appeals in your state, you can locate them at http://us.bbb.org/WWWRoot/SitePage.aspx?site=113&id=a49fb47f-a6ec-4a15-a3e8-a3a87d91fa66.
IF YOU ARE ASKING ABOUT A FOR-PROFIT BUSINESS:
If your inquiry is not about a soliciting charity, but about a for-profit business, please use the Better Business Bureau Information System available at http://search.bbb.org or contact the Better Business Bureau located nearest to the business - you can search for the BBB at http://lookup.bbb.org.
IF YOU NEED FURTHER ASSISTANCE:
The information is provided solely to help you use your own judgment.
